Yes you can. Anything that is not toxic, you can use. =) I just love seeing the shrimps goes crazy on the leaves so I decided to put it on a stick..

I am not a big amano fan because they get too big too fast and can be really aggressive with other fish when hungry. I consider them to be a necessary evil in the control of some types of algae. That being said though I sure do like the looks of my latest ones that I picked up a few weeks ago.
