Remedies include erythromycin, an antibiotic, and high nitrogen dosing. Roy (SeattleAquarist) wrote up a guide on dosing with potassium nitrate to eliminate the stuff. I'm trying that with a problem 10g tank but it's not helping me much so far. My plan is to empty, clean, and re-work the tank from the ground up. You might have better luck Reducing your photo-period and/or blacking the tank out for a while also helps, from what I've read.
