Update pics. I moved him to another 20g by himself with some plants and substrate as I heard they like to bury themselves.

1 month update. He has been ignoring pellets again so I have to give chopped worm, feeder cherry shrimp and guppy fry. Very active for a nocturnal ambush predator.

Are the chopped worms still moving and triggers feeding? Or has it at least figured out dead food? That is a step if it figures out dead food. Reminds me a lot of training puffers to eat. Mine wont take pellets but they will eat some moving stuff like pieces of fish filet, krill, shrimp.

Yes the worm segments are still moving so he strikes those no problem. He eats pellets as they float down but spits out after realizing it’s not fresh. Someone from MFK suggested 1 week fast to make it nice and hungry then try pellet again.
