Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knows where to buy some lace rocks for a cichlid tank? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something that is affordable.

I have the sunsun one. I have no complaints, it works pretty well. It is very quiet. I don't use the uv though

the white stuff could be biofilm that bacteria make so they can cling on to things, think plaque on teeth. I have seen the same stuff in the hoses that connect to canister filters.

I have a 100 lb bag of manufacturer mineral's 16 grit black sand if you want some. I use it in my shrimp tank and it makes the red cherry shrimp and crystal red shrimp's color pop.

I was browsing through some old post and only came across 1 thread about moving bed filter, and that was back in 2013. I was wondering since then has anyone tried one? Does it provide better filtration then a sponge filter? I saw them used at aquarium coop but didn't see them when i went back...

Cool, I am interested on what you get with the beamwork plant fixture. I have a 7" that run across two 40 breeders.

I bought that one but mine is a 6 ft version. I agree with morganea that it makes things look yellow in the tank so your fish might not look so good, but I notice that my plants grew better then the t5 I use to have
