Holy-moly, a 1931 Packard Eight Dual Cowl Phaeton parked on the street? Be still my beating heart!

Now compare this nearly 100-year-old automobile (it is not just a 'car') to anything on the road today- price no object- ands tell me how our current trajectory could be considered 'progress.' :eek:

@fishguy1978, Very cool Mazda. My current Mazda 6 is a daily driver and it has a 3.7L V6 and its a lot of fun to drive. Previous to that I had a 2011 Mazda 6 with the 4 cylinder which was still fun and peppy but just not the umph of the V6. Also my wifes last SUV was a Mazda CX-9 that also had the V6. Sold that to our son who had it for a while before he hit a deer and totaled it. :(

I love how Mazda just designed cars that are fun to drive... Zoom, Zoom

The Miata will be a date night or weekend away vehicle for us. My oldest is rebuilding his motor so we will hopefully have two running soon.

Ugh, my daily driver (Mazda 6) has either a blown driver side door speaker or the amp channel went out. Since it is separates in the front and I still have the tweeter going, belief is that just the lower door speaker is blown. This is a total pain since this is a Bose system and being that the car is a 2013, replacement OEM speakers are pretty much non existent. These are a low Ohm type speaker that are designed to work with the Bose amp and everything I am finding is 4 Ohm or need a big amp to drive it. So I am continuing to look around for something affordable to replace the blown speaker with.

Seriously? Try finding parts for cars from the 1980's, you know, important ones that actually make the car run. It took me 2 years to find a NOS radiator for my 1988 M3, and that search was only successful because a friend-of-a-friend knew someone at the factory in Munich, where the last 2 OEM radiators in existence were tucked away.

A while back when I was dealing with my worn out seats, I was looking for OEM factory replacement leather 'skins'. I really needed a driver and passenger bottom and a driver back. At the minimum I wanted the drivers side replaced. I found a seller on ebay that had just one of the items but it was for the passenger back which with mine was slightly worn but not needing the replacement that badly. So Ive been fighting with replacement parts for a while. Looking for some replacement door handle parts too.

Trying to do tie rods on one of my vehicles. Ordered inner and outer from Rock Auto. I discovered during the attempted installation that the inner tie rod had metric threads and the outer had SAE o_O:mad: Now the car is apart and parts sourced locally so that my daughter can take the car to school in Montana.
