One of last years spawn where I only allowed the shubunkin male to breed. Hoping that silver / black is building a base for blue like daddy

The orange/ white irridescence bits around it give me hope that it will be blues and yellows next year. Maybe even some side patterns forming too. A lot of potential in this one. Also have two tancho and an Apache (? Black and red Orange) that are promising. Probably going to cull the remaining 8 or so unless any show some potential beyond grey or orange. But it's about that time where they've had an entire spring and summer of sun, good food etc..

Getting this one out to see it was a chore lol Removed all the plants and such yesterday, set a fish trap with hides, food etc...
Caught two small ones probably from this years spawning lol Finally got this one by leaving a net in the back corner and feeding the opposite side. Still took awhile lol Looking into making a small seine net I can use to try and at least contain them to a side lol
