They got over Ich a while back and one fish looked as if it was dealing with some fin rot after that. But thats not the fish that died. Im wondering if its something bacterial at this point. Very tough when the fish are eating and showing no signs or symptoms of anything.

I want to use the vintage filter in the bowfront. The large one is complete but too big. The small one is still a little too big, but I don't care lol It is however missing a lid. I spent hours last night using 3d scanning apps trying to get something usable. Decided to make my own
So I took measurements, rendered the base ring and am printing that now to test fit. If that goes well, I think I have roughly 11% of a plan to make my own lol Actually fairly confident in my plan, it's the small bits like the slashes for air that I'm probably overthinking. I have a tiny bit of filament that may even be close to matching, but probably not enough. So it will likely be black, but I might have fun with the shiny orange or blue
Afternoon tank cleaning of the 300. Pulled all the fake rocks and plants and cleaned with a light bleach solution to get rid of algae, scrubbed the glass and did a hard core gravel vac. Looks pretty clean but I still want to scrub the large mopani wood to be ‘completely done’. It feels good to see the tank sparkling clean for once, been awhile since I did the detailed cleaning like this.

First thing I have modeled from scratch from measuring, comparing etc... Need to add more slots to the final, but wanted to print one to check fitment.
Going to add some nubs to the connection ring like the original to keep the lid tight. But, it's functional

Finally a nice haul of bloodworms and a ton of daphnia so everything got live food. Decided that filter is too large visually so I swapped it for a small corner one that hides nicely.
@BPSabelhaus, was cool using the vintage filter but it was taking up a lot of tank space, I like the corner one in there better.

Gave it an inhabitant, in addition to daphnia, scuds and some detritus worms. Would have finished taking the 30 down today, but definitely made a muscle angry in my ribs yesterday moving rocks. Thinking I'll use the big one in the wild guppy tank and just kind of do it as a fun / vintage type tank with a silly diver and such lol

Moved the heater in this morning, added a moon snail shell, some elodea, vals, and azolla. Just moved pinky in and he's off hunting daphnia.
Set up my new phone but still havent got around to taking any fish pics yet to see if the camera is any better than the old one. Was a bit upset when I moved everything over from old phone and a fish related app (AqDiary) I use didnt get moved over. My brother came over and helped me figure out how to get the older app on the phone and now its there and working again. The app is something I like for fishkeeping because it lets you keep a log of things like water changes and what not. I use it on the 300 gallon mostly to keep the info as to the last time I replaced UV bulb and cleaned the 3 FX6 filters on the tank. Maybe tonight or tomorrow I can play around with the camera and do some fish pics to post.

Lots of good live food the last few days, especially scuds and some giant ones too Put probably a dozen large ones in the bowfront because the gravel, wood etc... gives a lot of hiding spots and they are big enough to be problematic for the Betta to eat. He tried one, dropped it and went for a bloodworm instead lol
Been dumping pond and aquarium waste exclusively on the salmonberries the last year. Definitely paid off. More new growth around the pond over there, much tastier berries Also seems like it attracts whatever it is that makes bloodworms (I forget the name) better.

Today I was topping off the living room 75g baby silver arrowana tank when I discovered that my albino female bn pleco and my newly acquired brown male bn from fishguy1978 had successfully bred and I had a couple of microscopic babies on the piece of bamboo. Unfortunately, I don’t think they will last long after the silver arrowana discovers them.

Scrubbing glass and hopefully finish taking down the 5 gallon that formerly houses Pinky. Plants are growing a bit already. Been putting scuds into the tank through a hole in the driftwood. Hopefully there's some living in the loose gravel underneath.

Vernal pond is dried up so I went looking under rocks to find the fish. Found them, baby salamanders as expected lol Moved about 6 or so that I found under a large rock and collected moss that should be full of microfauna eggs and some plants.

Cool little things. I admit I was fooled for a moment with a salamander lol It was dead and had shriveled up a bit. Mouth was open, gills had shrunk down, legs were stuck to the body, tail shrunk a bit... For a moment I thought small catfish lol
