I think the O could eat him. More like 2" if I were to guess. The little guy is smart and is watching his back. He always has a place to dart into and he keeps his fins all erect to make himself look bigger. The Oscar seems to be OK with him in there. Been keeping everyone well fed just in case.

I am glad he is a wise guy and not trying to attack the big guys.My geo is like that with the angel, the angel is really nice but because of size his looks intimidate the geo a bit so he is always colored up with tall fins.

So now that I have the little guy in there I wonder how multiple amps would do....

I still want a midas.

Well looking at the types of fish I want to restock with I may just get the types I want and work out how they all mesh together and keep the ones that get along.

The hoga Im pretty sure is male. He had a good fill of frozen glass worms last night and his 'junk' popped out from being so full. This is not the way to sex fish by the way!

So I am thinking of the hoga and a possible midas. I also either want a pearsei or bocourti. Maybe a snook or argentea in there also. So basically three to four large cichlids with the possibility of a couple small types like a convict or HRP. The silver dollars will stay as the dither fish. So Im on the hunt for fish.

the more fish, the less aggression! (usually)
I know, but I dont like the look of the overstocked tanks. It would help to spread aggression out but I know a perfect combo can be found. Right now (not counting the new hoga) I have a near perfect tank with three cichlids who get along and leave each other alone and the six silver dollars. Very tranquil and peaceful. I actually had pretty much the same when I had my Midas, pearsei, argentea combo.

I think Discus are beautiful fish but not for me. I like BIG fish and they are too small for my taste.
