Betta's have a labyrinth lung and so yes, they breath atmosphere rather then water :) Which is also why when I found my big pretty betta Private Trouble, crusted to the floor, fuzzy with carpet, pet hair AND crunchy....I dumped him back in his tank. Didn't even lose any of his tail. Damn fish...

Between neon tetra disease, hearing they are the more spastic (neons) but mostly coloration I went with cardinals. Really glad I did :D half the time they look purple in my tank due to my lights. So pretty.

Yeah, there are a few. I *want* to say Betty built a really nice one a while back maybe last summer(may not have been Betty). And someone else built a tiny indoor one that looked really cool.

It would fall under either general freshwater fish or unheated aquarims. Not quite an "aquarium" but I think we had one previously and it was just taking space but no one was using it. I think it could become a thing if enough posts get posted on the topic.
