Seems like we all have been busy... not a lot of activity here on Fish Box. Hopefully winter weather sets in and forces us all to post more!

Been procrastinating on filter clean and rebuilds on the 300. I have made it a habit to replace seals and impellers on thes 3 FX6 filters once a year. I always keep the Impeller kits on hand and seals for this maintenance or in case of emergencies. Thankfully never have had an issue with this regular maintenance routine and no leaks due to this. I also keep new filter sponges on hand in case I'm just being lazy and don't want to reuse and rinse the worn media. Goal is to try and get at least one if not two filters rebuilt this weekend.

Saturday morning tank cleaning and water changes on the six garage tanks. Everything looked so nice afterward and it reminded me that I still need to get fish to fill out the 90g and 40B...

Lost a Roseline shark in the 300 yesterday, no clue why, had not even been munched on at all, or any visible issues…

Today I worked on the 300, and pulled decor, scrubbed glass and gravel vac’d with water change. Decided to pull a couple of the fake Universal Rock pieces out to make the tank look a bit simpler, easier for cleaning and to make more room for the big gourami to move around. Put those extra rocks in my 40B for some interest.

Sorry, I haven’t been on in quite a while! Fish are doing well.

My sons 180g with his yellow jardini arrowana needed some tank mates so I gave him my 9” clown knife and my 8” peacock.

After a bit of adjustment, they are getting along swimingly! We have also added a bifa cichlid to it. The tank is great.

With that said, I’ve been trying to help a good friend out with his 90g that was overcome with single cell algae . It was neon green . I’ve since added a uv sterilizer and moved his two Oscar’s and his blood parrot to various tanks at my house until his tank is back up and running.

Last part of my update is that I’m ready to move my buffalo head colony to either aquarium paradise to be sold, or to a private hobbyist.

It’s my bedroom 75g and I want something visually appealing as I fall asleep. And they just bounce around the bottom. HahaIMG_8124.jpeg
