What can I do with this pond?

Moved in to a new house in Woodinville, it has this pond in backyard. Seems like motor was disconnected at some point. I live in west coast of WA state, so weather does get cold in Winter but it rarely snows.

Looking for ideas. I was thinking about building a filter and use original motor if it still works.

That is cool! With all the wildlife around here, that pond is pretty small for fish to have much of a chance. My friends had a pond that was quite large and had to deal with raccoons getting the koi. They ended up putting an electric fence around the pond. With that one the racoons would definitely be able to get to any fish so that would be my first thing to protect what I would stock in there. Then of course size fish appropriately to the pond, maybe goldfish instead of koi? Whatever you do, please post pics of the project, would love to see how this develops.

Would do. It needs cleaning. Found few interesting amphibians in the pond.

If you're finding amphibians I'd skip the pump / filter and top it off with rain water when needed. Frogs / amphibians are a sign of clean water. It's why you'll see a frog at the base of some totem poles. If it doesn't freeze fully this winter you could probably do some Japanese rice fish in it. But honestly if you have amphibians you're already winning. My tubs in Auburn took a couple years, but this year I had frogs breed in two of them

Few updates
1. the tub was bending due to rocks, I removed those lifted tub by hand and slide them underneath, now I have 2 more inches of water
2. I added some comets and shubunkins
3. I ordered some mosquito fish but thinking about getting some rice fish instead
4. Got the motor in picture working, ordered matala intake which fits on my older pump better so changed the pump
5. added some sponges for filtration to smaller tub, but seems inadequate, so ordered matala filter

Newts sadly left the pond. Water is much cleaner, I can see bottom. I haven't done any water changes yet, so tint from tannins is still there. I think I over did it on the pre filter, I should have read matala recommendations and used smaller size.
