Soon to be finished FISHROOM!!!

I used exterior doors for the fishroom to better insulate the place. All the cut outs in the walls and ceiling are sealed. As one of the pictures shows metal framing for the wall, this is to ensure no wood type material is in contact with the concrete floor. I have also finished most of the moldings in the room. Right now I am working on cleaning the concrete floor in preparation of etching the concrete, follows by sealing it with a water base sealer. I will then patch all the hairline cracks before epoxy coating the floor. I got all the materials for the job, just need to do the actual work. Still so much to do before I can move the racks in.

Since there is going to be alot of weight on the concrete floor, it has wire mess in the 4" thick concrete slab. This will give it at the very least 4000 psi rating. I can then calculate the weight of the racks and determine the size of metal plates to help distribute the weight on the concrete floor.

leisure_man: I hate your fish room.

P.s I am just jealous of you. One day I hope to have my own fish room and have people hate me for it.

Looks like its gonna be a nice room.

Right now, I am hating my fishroom too. Only got 2/3 of the floor clean.

Outside the fishroom is 1100sqft walkout basement equips with 53" HDTV, wetbar, a full bath, and yes internet access (aka: my man-cave). However, I dont have time to enjoy it, as the fishroom is not finished. I am heading to ACA convention 2011 tomorrow, which means another zero progress week. Original plan was to have it ready for the ACA convention, so much for that plan.
