I had electiric blue acara and really enjoyed them, but they did top off at about 6”.

You’d like the clown knives except the grow painfully slow! Roselines are beautiful when large, but have never really paid attention. To them when small? Do they still have similar colors when small
The EBA at 6” would probably be perfect. The other choice would be an EBJD but the last one I tried was a stunted runt that grew deformed. I like the idea of the bright blue coloration. As to the Roselines, when I had them in the past they got their colors in pretty early and even at about 4” were quite attractive.

Just saw my message to you, I meant clown loaches, not clown knives, haha .

But a huge black ghost knife slicing through the water would be an equally impressive fish. The ghost knife’s are the most peaceful of the knives too. I had one that grew to 9” before selling it. It would eat freeze dried bloodworms and frozen blood worms but wouldn’t touch the cardinal tetras I had in with him.

Actually a clown knife would be pretty cool with the giant gourami but would eliminate the clown loaches because I just couldn't get them large enough to not be a meal and the roselines would be goners for sure, lol. Ive always like the black ghost knife but I kind of want to shoot for some color too, that was idea behind maybe moving a single male red sev over to the 300 and getting a EBA or EBJD in there.

Try not to have to much “junk” in the fishroom but I saw this and had to add it to the bar table

What size tank are the severums in? I thought you had them in a 90g.

Cool hermit crab figurine too.

Yeah they are in the 90, but there are three of them. Still believe its two males and one female. The dominant fish treats the female kindly most times but hammers on the other male.

I am using CaribSea Midnight River "sand" in it with two fake slate rocks from Universal Rocks. At the moment an empty tank waiting for me to do something with it.
