Question for Rena XP users

I love my XP canisters -- never had any problems with them! I ordered a couple more and unfortunately one was damaged on arrival.

Does this look like it would affect the function of the filter? I bought them online and really don't want to have to hassle with returning this one. The clamp works and I'm thinking this wouldn't affect the seal in any way.

Just as long the body unit and the top lid unites to form a tight seal, it will run smoothly.
I'd test it before actually feeling confident it will perform as expected.

Yeah, I can test it. I didn't want to get all of the parts unpacked to hook it up, but I can remove the quick disconnect and substitute the broken part with one that I already have running.

Thanks for the replies.

I would send the pic to the place you got it from. You dont have to return the actual product but if they are really professional, they will make it right. Good luck.

I had sent the picture in to Rena's customer service and they told me to go ahead and return it, but while I was waiting for their response, I hooked it up to another canister that I had running and it worked fine. No leaks or any other problems, so I can't decide what I want to do.

I really don't like returning things through the mail.

Hey its your choice. If you can live with it then there's no problem. Maybe you can just hard glue it back together? Doesn't look like it will worsen in the long run. seems primarily cosmetic. Just go with what you feel. Good luck.
