Ok is this set up worth this much money?

Ok so I email someone on CL about a 50G breeder tank & stand
I really like the footprint on them so I've been looking for one, the guy wants 300 dollars for it
would anyone pay this much for such set up or am i being cheap???[/b]

50 gal breeders are the same footprint as 40 gal breeder but taller; and you can get the 40 gal breeders from Petco from time to time for $40. For $300 You should be able to buy a 125 gal tank stand etc. for that.

no no no.. I have seen 50 gal breeders for less than $60 on craigslist. I have seen some nice 125gal show tanks for $300. Don't but it!

Well being it says "setup" in the title what does it come with ?? If it comes with tank, stand, filter, heater, light and the whole works it might be worth the cash depending on what's included.. But like said above if it's just the tank and stand then NO..

I've been kicking around the same question "whats a good price for a used tank" Some one told me once that $1.00 per ga, I just made a deal for three tank a 150gal, a 100 gal, and a 45 gal. tall for $295.00. They come with stands, tops, lights and filters. I guess it realy depend on how bad someone wants to sell.

I would never pay more than a dollar a gallon, since you only pay that much at the store new.

When you start adding stands, hoods, filters, etc, the $1/gallon kind of goes out the window. Unless you are Rick and you find an awesome deal like he did! lol

It says 300 for just the stand and the 50gal tank. And the guy is selling it as a breeder so I am doubting that the stand is worth anything.

Ohh the tanks i would buy with an extra $300

before I posted this I told the guy I would never pay that much for a such a small and used tank. He said well I think is worth it the wood stand itself goes for that much

So I was just curious to see what everyone else is paying for use tanks on CLs lol
