No, I used to be a member of Aquaria Central but now this is the only site I frequent. I like the close knit feel. Besides, I wouldn't consider HRP's a monster fish

Monster fish keeper is a term used to describe the dedication one has to the hobby like madness would be a true MFK not because size but because how he only thinks of what the next best thing for his fish is gonna be.

We all are MFK at heart.some of us are just spaciously challenged.
I am on here more than anywhere else by far i love having only WA people to talk to or at least a handful of the same people;this is why i started the MFK teen group( 20 members strong lol )
So i can be around the same people all the time.

i recently rescue'd a jewel cichlid that was like a yellowish brown color with no red underneath at all.
its got the red under the jaw now, but its still yellowish in color.

Ive got a solo convict that I consider a monster due to attitude and disposition. His name is Spaz!

I think the best thing you could do is have a clean tank with a proper and varied diet. That could just be his coloring also. Not all jewels are the same color shade.

For the babies, if you take footies, like they give you in shoe stores for trying on shoes and heels, or even knee highs (stay up better) and wrap them around the outside of the breeder box it keeps the babies in. I did this with my platy babies as well as my angel babies so the others in the tank wouldn't suck them out the sides. Worked wonders :)
