Hey there my name is Dan, lam from Vancouver B.C. I been into aquariums for over 25 years. Currently l have two 220 gal tanks. Just shut down my planted Angel tank. After 15 years it was time for a change. Going with South Americans again just bigger fish this time. Current stock is 4 Rotkeil Severums, 2 Chocolate Cichlids, 1 Red Albino Long Fin Oscar, 4 Red Head Tapajos, 3 Surinamensis, and 2 True Head Parrot Fish. Looking for 3 Super Red Severums and a couple of exotic Plecos...
The other 220 is a mixed African Cichlid tank. l love my Africans, had them for over 25 years and plan to for many more. Lots of good info here, should be interesting...

Thanks for the nice welcome guys. That planted tank was nice, but high maintenance. l only had to move it once, and never want do that again.
As for the African tank, it's petty much where l like it with stock. But you know theirs always room for one more. I sure we heard that before lol... 8)

Dan o.... I know this post has been up for awhile, but I have to comment on those tank... STUNNING

Seriously, I am loosing it over those tanks.... would like to see the african tank more lake specific, but the colors of the fish you chose are amazing. Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us.

Thanks guys, l would love to have more tanks, but with two 220 gal tanks down in the man cave and not much room for any more. I would say the African tank is 90% Malawin. The good news is the South American tank is 100% specific, so far lol...

Well, i dont know much about SA/CA cichlid tanks and origins.... So I will take your word for it... honestly they look really good... what is in that tank?? I wouldnt mind starting one similar to that, I want to have the best of both new and old world cichlids!! Then the SA/CA cichlid guys cant bug me as much. lol

as for the african tank, You have a frontosa/Giberso in there that isnt mallawii, anything else?? Some victorian?? It looks like I see a few non-malawii but cant really tell... majority is Peacocks, haps??

It looks gorgeous for sure.... I love it.

The stock has changed some, sold off the true parrot fish. Picked up four 2" nicks, two 1" Orange Head Tapajos, two 1 1/2" Red Line Severums, and a 3' Wild Banded Notatus Severum. Still looking for two 3" Super Red Severums.
As for the African tank no Victorians, do have some Tanganyikan three Leleupi, four Synodontis Petricolas and a Angelicus. Non African, four Clown Loachs. O.K. maybe 75 to 80% mallawins...
