I've heard that guy is a no-good so-and-so.... :)

Hey all. I'm still in the hobby, just been busy with real life stuff. No significant changes other than I've stopped selling my fry locally because it was just too much of a hassle. I guess I did get my breeder setup a little more complete... I'm breeding Cynotilapia only for now, in dedicated 40B tanks with 20L grow-outs. I have my Hara's plus Afra (Jalo Reef) and Afra (Cobue) actively breeding now.

Did have one mishap recently, one of my Marineland heaters blew up. Didn't crack the tank (damn lucky, because I was out of town for 2 weeks and the pet sitter is good, but not THAT good) but I lost a number of my Demasoni breeders, some of my Acei and all of my older Cobue's.

I have the steel stand and sump for my next tank sitting here ready to go, just need to go pick up the tank. I need a truck it'll fit in though. Oops... LOL

Glad to see you doing well and making a cameo! Didn't you have a rather large tank you were working on?

You had us all worried, Larry. I was wondering where you'd been. It's good to hear you're still keeping fish. :)

I haven't seen Spyral on the forum in a long time either. Anyone heard from him?

Yeah, I'm finding those Hara's are crazy aggressive to each other. Don't really give a crap about other species though, so they fit nicely in a mixed tank. I sell all of mine when they're young to one of the mail-order suppliers, so they never get big enough to sex. I'm willing to sell to someone local as long as it doesn't become a big hassle, but it's guaranteed that I can sell all of them the other route before they get large and difficult.

Thanks man! Yes, I have a 300g (48x60x24) that I'm building. That's the one that the steel frame is here and ready, the sump is here and ready (another 100g or so capacity), and I just need to pick up the tank itself.

Thanks Betty. :) I don't expect to be stopping with the fish anytime soon - I had my house built to accommodate them! The 1st 300g should be ready for assembly within a month - I just need to get it transported and cleaned up before I move it in. The 2nd 300g will be sometime next year - the tank is in the garage but I wanted to finish the first one and incorporate lessons learned into the second one.

Spy's in Louisville, KY. Lucky him, there are a couple of breeders in the area and as I recall he was scouting his next tank right after he moved.

I knew that Spyral was in Kentucky, but he had posted some after moving there. I think he even had an African tank set up.

Larry, those 300 gal. tanks will be awesome. You'll have to take some pictures and keep us updated. I don't have anything new going on with my tanks, so I like to see what exciting things others are up to. :D
