Not here. In fact, my heaters are still running just a tad. Tanks are at 77, just where I want them - the house only got up into the low/mid 70's. Sweet lord, I love living in the woods! LOL

I never turn off all my heaters, i did shut off 2 of the 3 i have running though.. Just because it's hott as hell in my house right now.. :no:

Mine are plugged in, but I'm assuming they aren't turning on as warm as it is where my tanks are.

mine are all on, but with thermostats, they keep the tanks where they need to be.

Yes all heaters that are working correctly. Should not turn on unless they're below the temperature you set them too. The real thing to control the heat is your lighting. As that will drastically increase your temp on days like today.

Well, the heat wave seems to be over for now, but for future reference like Cory stated, you should turn off your lighting and run a fan or two or three across the top of the tank to cool the surface water and help with gas exchange. Those with sumps should run a fan on the sump too.
I myself, bought an air conditioner last year.

I have AC also. We did it about 3 years ago and the house is nice and cool - actually need to keep the heaters on!
