I went there a few months ago. The staff was, interesting... one guy was easy to talk to and the other guy just stared at us (creepy). Other than that the fish looked healthy and they had a great mix of fish.

Been there... not your traditional fish store. Organized a bit differently, like going to the swap meet with fish.

They moved because of the deplorable conditions of the last shop( the actual structure of there store) I heard their new ahop was in better condition with more room for tanks.... Haven't been there and probably won't as downtown puyallup is a pain in the &$$ to drive through

He posts all over craigslist with fish for sale, and says he will trade fish and what not but every time i ask, he says maybe bring them in and well see, well i live in bothell so without some slight idea of a trade or sale is not an option for my gas tank, or the fish. So i would love to know if its worth drivng alll the way or not. He has a webpage but no fish list or anything, and his craigslist posts say check his facebook page but its not updated :/

Was an interesting look idk if the relocation was before or after I visited, they were near the petsmart on 152nd when I went. Looked like a fish store that would be run by a hobbiest who cobbled together all their tanks. A LOT of tiny fry of giant fish. But they also had a massive tank with full grown Oscars, large Pacu and Arowana that was a sight to see. Personally wouldn't buy there because I'm a small fish keeper and their tanks for small fish were sad to see, large but mixing some bad species and not the healthiest, as well as having only maybe 3 of any given type. Now that someone points it out, VERY like a swap meet with sharpied prices and used tanks sitting outside with ambigious masking tape possible prices.

I haven't been to the new location but was at the old right before they moved. At that time: the young owner was very friendly. I agree they have lots of fish that they have bred there including small fry, and rather than a broad range of types like a conventional store they seem to have quantities of particular non-standard species which were often unusual and often either large cichlid or African cichlids. But then they'll have a bunch of some popular tetra all of a sudden. If you know how to raise live foods, the day I went there were good deals on daphnia and fruit flie starters (compared to other LFS in south end) Take advice with a grain of salt I'd say. . .I bought 2 live food cultures and owner's advice on how to raise them resulted in death of both cultures within 2 days of bringing them home. It was indeed a very idiosyncratic place. The odd assembly of used tanks was of interest - prices about like a swap meet or craigslist, not cleaned or anything, but I find that to be kind of fun to rummage through. I would go back out of curiousity to see what they have now that they've moved but only if I'm in that area for other reason, I wouldn't make a special trip
