This is my current feral cat shelter, but it's always changing. There's two cats that live there but there's over 15 that come to feed, lucky me huh :|
The kitten is the only one brave enough to sit still for the camera. There's a female calico that is the caregiver(mom of kitten disappeared) of the kitten it seems. Wish I could have gotten a pic of her as she was one of the first cats I had gotten fixed. Both cats seem to like their new setup I got going, especially on rainy days. I'll hopefully be adding more dog houses in the near future,
Here's the rabbits Peter & RaeRae, they thought I had something good to eat. The two of them live in a 12 x 6' outdoor dog run. The kitten likes to sit and meow at them. Too cute!
This is my rooster Valentine, isn't he pretty? Someone hatched him out from an egg and we think he had a broken hip. She gave him to me and I hand fed the little bugger for his first couple weeks of life. He was actually raised in a fishbowl on my desk lol I had him in a box but he'd scream if he couldn't see me or my mother. As the days went by he used the curved sides of the fish bowl to prop himself up and he actually learned to walk. Truly amazing considering I was expecting him to keel over the day I got him but he apparently had a very strong will to live. After a few weeks he was able to walk without falling over on his face but he has a limp. Him adjusting to sleeping outside was hard for him at first, he was a mommas boy but he stopped screaming after a few days. Now that Val is grown he has a nasty temperament. He's the first rooster I've ever had that attacks. I've been bit and spurred more times then I can count. He's aggressive towards other chickens too. If I had half a brain he'd be in the stew pot but I have a thing for ornery animals I guess.
Hope you enjoyed my front yard critters!
