Disposable Chopstick Airstone

So, some of you may have read about using those disposable chopsticks as a usable airstone, if you're in a pinch...well, I was skeptical at first, but I eventually tried it out, and it works like a charm!

Not only does it work, but it also makes really small bubbles if you're pumping less air (which is a plus for me).

I had to use a pencil sharpener to size down the ends so that they would fit well into the airline tubing. Skipping this step will cause gaps near the ends, causing bigger bubbles.

Anyway, here's a quick video of it, in case you never saw how it works.

Very cool Poke! You forgot to mention to make sure there is no Sriracha sauce on it before putting in the tank. :joker:

I've also heard that Balsa Wood makes a great airstone... I might head over to the craft store and buy myself one of those dowels made out of balsa wood, and try it out :)

Sriracha? Oh you know me too well!! :p

I shall return with more results! Stay tuned!
