The wrong answers so far:
crenicichla lepidota
crenicichla luscious
Crenicichla vertigreen
crenicichla ihavenoideaciatus :laughhard:
crenicichla strigatta
crenicichla 'Xingu I' or xingu II
Crenicichla ternetzi
Crenicichla johanna
Crenicichla menezesi
Crenicichla multispinosa
Crenicichla sp. 'atabapo'
Crencichla lenticulata
crenicichla alta
Crenicichla notophthalmus

And here is our hint: Its missing a gene. One that controls a color or pattern.

Yup!!! Good job D, its missing the gene that causes the spotting above the lateral line. It took peanut power and 3 of his pike buddies over a week and 70+ pictures to properly id him. He came into petsnpals while I was working there with 2 others, as belly crawlers. When I got a hold of one of the other fish a year after it was purchased from the same 3 that had come in it was aparrent that they were sveni.
