Cheaper Lights??

Has anyone ever been to Kent Indoor Grow or any shop like it? I'm beginning to think that these t5/mh lights can be purchased much cheaper at a indoor garden place in comparison for the LFS.

Any thoughts or experiences? Discuss!

I would expect a garden store to have better pricing than a small fish store with little buying power, but rarely can you beat ebay or amazon on a consumable like this. The garden store may not have the best color temp for a beautiful tank though?

I've read mostly bad things about Odyssea (Including a 6+ year long thread on them, which also included mainly bad reviews). It just seems cheaper to get a few umbrellas and mh's with a couple mid range t5 fixtures still would be cheaper than $1200+ tax..

Anyone else have any DIY light fixtures? Preferably reef ready combo's?

I bought and odyssea light T5 fixture for my tank is been working just fine
haven't had any problems with it. The only reason I bought the Odyssea fixture was because my budget didn't allow me to buy a better one at the moment. All the threads I found about this fixtures were pretty old. Would I recommended probably not lol
for my next tank I will definitely buy a better quality light fixture

for awhile i used indoor grow lights on my discus tank. they sure are cheaper. only prob is maybe having to suspend em above the tank as they arent designed for water exposure. either way it works out and saves you money in the long run. gl in your search.
