Besides fish, what else do you keep?

Nice! We haven’t tried a raw food diet but we do follow what the breeder recommended…. Our little girl cat (14lbs) looks thicker than the boy, but that’s because she takes after the lynx side more than the bengal.
The raw food is a bit pricey, but it makes up for it in veterinary bills. Before I kept Ragdolls I had Persians, and they were always going to the vet for something, but the raw diet largely cured that.

My little ones are growing, growing, growing; this is Lyla, now 10 months old and 10.6 lbs. Traditional Ragdolls all have blue eyes (like this), but if they carry the mink gene, their eyes are turquoise.

Took Hobbes for a walk around the backyard and he dragged me into the salmonberries lol

I love how he's like "What's the problem? Keep following me!" He actually did "drag" me in past that post and to the right deeper in lol.

Finally crawled out of her cave yesterday. Today the kiddo fed her a giant clover, then she demanded out to visit everyone lol Probably going to give her a bath later, she's pretty dirty and shedding a bit.1000017639.jpg

She's living dandelion greens lately. Normally she tears off a bite but this time yanked it out of my hand and kept pulling away like a dog with a bone lol Ended up eating the whole leaf in a single "bite" with a lot of chewing.

Made her an "ice cream cone" after someone joked that she looked like she waiting for her ice cream lol Don't tempt me to be fun with food lol

My son and I are worried about his bearded dragon. He / she is about 2 year old and about 12” total length. It went through a period that I thought might be brumation ( spelling) but since coming out of it, it is as though the back legs don’t work properly.

If it ends up dying, my son has taken a liking to cleaning and caring for my fish, since I’m not allowed to currently, so he said he would turn that 75g into an aquarium. As he is currently breeding guppies to feed to my arrowanas.

When it gets hot like this, I always crave chowder and clamcakes; it's definitely a New England thing. When it got too hot to cook, we'd all go down to the shore- one of the big 'chowder houses' right on the beach- all-you-can-eat chowder, clamcakes, corn-on-the-cob, and watermelon. Did I mention beer? Then we'd terrorize everyone on the way home in my kid brother's '37 Chevy hot rod with a 327 Corvette small block and straight pipes. Good times, but a different world...

How do you source the clams? I’ve been thinking about doing it on my dads beach on harstein island
I don't, the tidelands in Liberty Bay are loaded with clams naturally. It took me about 5 minutes to collect ~30 Manila clams, digging only a few inches down in an area of maybe 4-5 square feet, and taking only the largest clams.

That said, if you own tideland property you can buy all sorts of shellfish seed a few times every summer from Taylor Shellfish Farms. That's where I get oyster seeds for my grow-out bags. Growing up in coastal New England, I love shellfish, and being able to collect as much as I could ever use is great.

Awesome, thanks so much for the information.

My dad does own the tidal land on his island so I’ll look into Taylor shellfish
