Back from vacation, Maui

Just got back last week from 8 days in Maui to celebrate an anniversary (24 years!) Did a bunch of stuff but am sharing some pics from snorkeling that came out okay.

This little guy was maybe 3ft, but pretty cool looking

Had borrowed my nephews GoPro to get the shots. Was a learning experience getting the underwater shots. With the wide angle lens it was pretty much all worthless fish footage because you couldn't see the fish for all the immense background. But it worked great for the larger turtles.

Did breakfast out one morning at a place called Slappy Cakes, had the Banana bread french toast and it was awesome

As we were driving around various places on the island we stopped at a distillery. The actual bottle of vodka looked like the one on the property and were made from sugar cane.

Also we got to witness rescue maneuvers practice with a helicopter

This was some of the best fish and chips Ive ever had. A little restaurant called Captain Jacks. It was Ono (Wahoo) fish and it just had a sweet, meaty texture to it that was just so much better than the cod we get around here.
