Green terrors will get up to 12" long and actually have teeth. So if they get agressive they will do some damage if they have smaller fish in the tank. We had two 1/2" terrors in with adult cichlids, and a couple of fulu's about 3/4" and the terrors killed one of the fulu's tore it's tail all up and killed it, then took care of it's other fins before got home. :( Green terrors now have their own tank because they were holding their own at 1/2" with adult african's. So I'd be cautious of putting them in with your tank. Just my experience.

p.s. when terror's get bigger they will eat feeder goldfish whole.

Hey, Thanks ShortyKilo. I was't planning on using green terrors lol, I know they are very angry animals. Never seen one eat a whole feeder must be fun :D.

GT's compared to other Large SA cichlids are more moderate in temperament..... seen even small jack dempseys do allot of damage medium sized green terrors..... SA cichlids I was thinking comparing wouldve been red devils, midas, wolfs, festaes, etc.... Fulu's or any other african with any SA cichlid is not recommended. The water parameters are completly different for each fish... and obviously size is a huge factor there too.

I thought about a Silversaum "Green Terror". Wasn't trying to put you down Sand. But I think GT's would tear the Satanoperca to shreds. I wanted to do big SA's actually but boss wanted something "friendly" for customers not violent :(. Was thinking about some festae and shi*.

lol.... didnt think you were tryin to put me down.... but when you said 300 gallon, and SA tank, I automatically think the big guys... festaes, terrors, peacocks, midas, red devils, gars, etc etc...... so when you thru in the word non aggressive, only thing that I could think of that was the least aggressive of that group wouldve been the GT's.... but now I know what you are tryin to do... makes sence. :)

Have you been in lately? to Midway I mean? And yeah I really wanted that stuff, the bubble part would have been perfect for showing how big they really are. Get some Festaes, maybe a super Red Texas maybe even giant gobies. Oh while I have you here, do you have any African cichlids for sale or something? I heard your into Tangs.

Big NO on the Mayan's in there, they are very aggressive. If you can find crested gobys one would be nice in there. I have a wc one and he holds his own in mildly aggressive African tank.

Royal plecos are nice, not sure if they would work in there just because I dont know much about them.....

I can't do a Royal as I'm pretty sure they need wood in the tank and feed off of aufwuchs. Know any other plecos that feed mainly on Algae? Ive already got an ancistrus in there.

planetcatfish.com would be the place to look, start with size and go from there. I work with mainly the small plecos.
