Guppy crossing.

I am wanting to try crossing some show guppies.
Is there any color gene advice or knowledge any of you can share with me?
If males or females are best to introduce new colors or if there is any other suggestions I shoukd take into account. Thanks in advance.

Years ago I had some guppies ( not even on the same planet as yours when it comes to quality ) and will tell you that I started out with one male yellow leopard spotted male and then I bought three females , tails were solid orange, solid blue, and solid pinkish..... I ended up with fry from that had all of those colors but also had the spots. It was super cool for my students to watch it happen (way back 14 years ago)

Thanks Loyd. I've decided to try and cross the ribbon fin into my Halfblack yellows. And also try to establish a half black red.
Only time will tell tho.
