What is your biggest fear?

I was wondering what is your biggest fear of running a fish tank. Beside the fish dying, lets say the power goes out, or the tank crack, or the tank leaks.
Well, mine is the canister filter leak and dripping all 60 gallon on my floor, and maybe even getting shocked. lol

Mine would be anything that involves gallons of water on the floor. :pale:

A power outage of a day or more would be difficult. I hear we are up for a cold winter. I remember losing power a few years ago and taking my reptiles to the office because the house was so cold. My tanks are planted and I do not use filters, but no heat or water movement for a few days would be very bad. I could heat tank water on the gas stove and stir the tanks by hand, but eight tanks would keep me very, very busy. As if I didn't have enough to worry about.

The power outlets in the house are weak, as in cannot hold the electrical prongs in place.
worried about the dog running around the surge protectors, making the prongs lose contact with outlets.
power outtages, cracked tank, PH crash(in one now), 180 gallons of water on the living room carpet.

yea, all of the above would ruin my day.

I would say my tank blowing out or cracking and pouring water all over my floor..
I actually had close to that happen at my old house, my 300 gallon stingray tank was in the garage and the return hose for my bed filter slipped out of the tank and all day it was pumping water onto my garage floor, approx 200 gallons worth. Lets just say my wife was PISSED to say the least.. I had to kiss up for months..

Today its moving and combing my adult and juvy L46's, moving any fish with a price tag like that makes me quite nervous :pale:

Fishsticks, I've been zapped by most every thing in tanks you can get zapped by, it will sure wake you up but you will be fine

earthquake, i know my stands are build like tanks but just knowing i have just under 300 gallons of water in my room at times makes me nervous , i would hate to come home and find the damage...hence i have no electronics on the ground , but hey those could fall down to. scary scary scary

I was afraid of moving but... after this last september with movin (mind u they are all under 30 gallons) 5 of my 7 tanks to my new place over 1 hr away and not losing a single fish(except the intentional feeder guppy sacrifices) i have to say my biggest fear is and damage tht can be cause by water or electrical... or my Landlord sayin get those out of here...

Mine would be forgetting to turn one of my heaters off when Im doing a water change, had an incident a couple months back where I could audibly HEAR the heater crackling downstairs in our two story house, luckily I was able to scream at my sister and she threw it into the tank, dont want those stupid things catchin on fire.

And good freaking lord a tiny sketchy reef light I got off CL, thing short circuited on my floor above 2 tanks and some coral, I gotta find the pic, you could SMELL it. Anything lights including water or fire Im terrifyied of

when I am vacuuming gravel or trimming plants... and one hand is resting on the rail of a metal gorilla rack, I will sometimes glance at the strip light cords or the heater cables.. and get a little dose of the heebies.

I do worry about my canister filter on my 75 leaking. I have a simple little alarm on my house sump pump that is made of a high pitch speaker & a 9 volt battery through a chip to make a squeal sound.. then two bare wires on the floor. If they get wet and complete the loop then I hear it. Saw something similar at the hardware store for around $30.

Umm... I fear:
Fish Zombies
Being bitten by one of my fish and having super powers and have to save the world (who wants that much stress?)
Tank cracking
No money...oh wait, that has already come true.
Fish dying (not cool when you loose 8 fish in one day...6 because they just died and two jumpers)
My mom getting fed up with me getting more aquariums lol (Earlier today she talked to me about expanding our garage (used to be garage but closed up and is now two rooms) by taking out a wall, taking out the floor with concrete on the bottom and having me have my own fish lair. Best Mom ever? I think so)
Having wal-mart countinue to sell fish.
