What is a "bot"

Just curious. When looking at the online users. It will say like "10 registered" "5 guests" and "1 bot" What or who is a bot?

Robot. It's an automated intelligent "life form" that performs specific predetermined tasks. For instance, the Google bot gathers content for its search index.

It skims through what we write in here. For example, somone writes about "Breeding Demasoni". The bot will gather that info, and when someone Googles "Breeding Demasoni", our topic will be shown there somewhere.

No, but some do pay to be the first, second, third, etc on the list when ppl search a certain thing.
