I use the turbotwist units and they work okay. I have a 36W on my FX5 line on a 210g and it works great to keep the water clear and not have green water issues. If you are looking for parasite control or anything like that you need high watt and slow flow.
The Uv will only help with alage that is free floating on the water or what is called 'Green water'. If you are looking to cut down on alage on rocks and decor it wont do anything for that. You would need to cut back on the amount or duration of tank lighting instead.
