The "F--- it, let's see what happens" tank

This journal is going back in time to spring 2015 which is when I inherited the tank from my dad. I've been keeping aquariums for almost a decade but I tend to be lazy when keeping tanks so that's why I called it the 'f--k it' tank.

Took the tank over from my dad with a bunch of fake plants and a couple goldfish.

Upgraded fluorescent lighting and added an argentine sword.

Added Anubias nana and java fern to the tank. I also switched out the super old substrate for pool filter sand. Never used sand before so it will be interesting to see how the plants grow. My plan is to soon have 100% real plants.
