When I got home from work yesterday I noticed this my female robertsoni and male red devil made some babies. It was never my intention to breed hybrids but I figure since they are both amphs it should stick right? Has anyone ever seen this cross before? Is this a bad idea? Here are the two love birds.

I thought the amphilophus was an old name... Astatheros robertsoni now?

Should be an interesting hybrid if the eggs were fertilized.

Your right DMD, but I feel like it may still have Merit. They are fertilized!!! Not a sad face more of a crooked face because I'm intrigued. I'm kind of excited to see how they turn out.

Ohhh gotcha! Well congrats! I hope you are able to raise the fry and get them to grow :) I'd definitely be interested in seeing how the fry look once they've grown!

Please keep us posted!
