Keep us posted. I have always wanted to try my hand at plants but been leery. Not a green thumb and I feel like I would just kill them. Would like to see if it as easy as everyone says.

I decided to try plants in some of my sandy-bottom Tanganyika tanks a while ago. The Vallisneria experiment didn't work out so well, but the Anubias experiment has been a huge success, so I now have several large tanks that look like this-

Good luck!

@sir_keith, Very nice! I love the love of Anubias, I just need to take the plunge and get some to try.

That tank looks awesome!

Dont get down on yourself about the vals, they are tough to get to thrive in our soft water. They grab the carbonates in the water column. I found all that out after a few failed attempts, because its been the MAIN thing i've wanted to grow. That anubias looks great though
