That is an awesome apisto! I still want to find a male of my ‘super red’ because the females I have look great and Im sure the male would even be better

When I think of what I would do different in the fish room, I come up a few ideas. Since two of my tanks are custom (the 65B) they feature a thicker glass and have no center divider so everything about them is a breeze. I think if I were to redo it all I would like to order custom 4 foot tanks with no divider and have them 24" wide and 24" tall. This would make it easy to maintain. I would have to have made some custom racking but I do enjoy wood-working so no big deal. Was just one of those moments that I wish I would have done a few things differently.

YouTube video, so we can see them in action is needed now
Im getting close… working on my divider wall on the left side. Got the rolling rack all cleaned up and spun around. One I put a panel on the back it will feel more “finished”.

I generally had cut the one side out on fishroom pics because it was a bit messy. Decided to flip my storage rack to make a “wall”. But I wanted it to be a bit less garage like so of all things I covered the back with a shower curtain off Amazon. Not what I want as the ‘final’ look but content with the look at the moment.

A couple new things, the lower tanks are a pain to sit and watch so I added a floor pillowIMG_20230226_095229210.jpg

Next to my utility sink I added this
silicone toothbrush holder to hold feeding tongs and cleaning brushesIMG_20230226_095311954.jpg

I like the floor pillow, but offer another idea. I present, "the toddler chair":

In the garage environment, I would be tempted to use a rolling shop stool with a pneumatic or hydraulic adjustment. I can't use wheeled implements to sit on in my house as a grain or two of sand on the wheels does a number on the floor.

I love the toothbrush holder.

I've been thinking about the same issue- how to get comfy in the fish room and enjoy it (rather than just work in it)- and last week I came up with this solution. The only problem is, this might be a bit too comfortable, as late last night I fell asleep sitting there with a cat on my lap and a glass of cognac in my hand. o_O
