Preference for displaying OP?

It seems like every time I click a link to a post I get directed to the most recent reply. Is there a setting where I instead am directed to the original post?

I believe if you use the forum normally as in navigating through the sections it'll work the way you want. However using the front portal page will direct you to the most recent post.

I tend to use the portal page frequently since I like to see "current events." I know it's not that much effort (like 2 mouse clicks) to get to the OP but if there is a preference I can select where I can be directed to the OP from the portal page I would love to know about it.
