Pleco's favorite food?

I love getting new ideas about fresh food that I can spoil my plecos with. My bristlenose plecos seem to really like cucumber but they aren't to sure about zucchini. What kind of foods do you feed your plecos? have you found something that they absolutely love?

I'll let Betty confirm, but I think she feeds canned green beans and hers love it. I've always done zucchini and I will drop in some shelled frozen softened peas on occasion too for everyone.

do you blanch your zucchini? Maybe that's why mine aren't eating it.

My bn and snails absolutely LOVE french cut green beans, no salt added. This was suggested to me by Betty and some breeders as well. I have fed zucchini too and my big pleco loves it. I just rinse off the outside, cut into pieces and weight it down in the tank. They typically left the skin and just ate the flesh.

I've been feeding mine sweet potato ,zucchini, tilapia, and if I run out of good stuff to feed them (because I always forget when I go to the store) I will throw half a russet potato in there! I'm not sure of the nutritional value but they tear it up skin and all it must fill em up lol
