no idea. id call the company directly and ask em to help you with your issue. that or buy a new fx5 from the store and return ur broken one. short of that idk man.

Sometimes the easiest solution is to turn it off , let the thing fill completely . Tubes and canister. And shake the shit out of it to see if it off gasses some traped air and turn it back on.

I have taken it apart several times. It fires up but grinds. I have called Hagen a couple of times. Anthraxx I like your idea best. I think I just might do that.

Contacting the company is sometimes the best thing to do.

Marineland give me a 100% refund on an Emperor 400 I bought because it did not fit with their new led aquarium top. I was not expecting that.
