Came in a couple weeks ago as a freebe suprise. It's grown a couple inches and now I am beginning to like this plant. Anyone have any idea of what it could be?

Hi fishNAbowl,

I always find it to difficult to identify a "strange" plant that I sometimes acquire. Of course the best way to identify a species is to grow it emerged and allow it to flower. That said it looks like a species of Rotala, possibly Rotala sp. 'Nanjenshan' but the leaves look a little different.

Thank you for jumping in Roy. Sometimes plants are easier to ID when larger too. I am really liking the light green color and elegance of the structure of the plant. I'll definitely keep growin this one out...

Another fella was telling me it is Rotala Bangladesh.
