I noticed that too, curious.  I'm guessing it has to do with the air pumps power right Poke?

Correct, the pump is really weak, but even considering how weak it is, it still produces a lot of bubbles, compared to a regular airstone.

I also have the neverclog airstone "modified", to where I added more pieces, because the original piece I had in there only had one section instead of 6 sections.

Keep in mind, that the "small" sized ones sold at the store, have 3 sections, while the medium ones have 5.
