I'm starting a African tank, and what are some good fish to put in the tank,

I don't know anything about africans but I'm sure it would be helpful to know How big is the tank? Good luck!

my tank is a 45g but its tall not long.

umm you should get some mbunas they don't get that big
and they are super easy to take care of... also very hardy fish

For a 45g I'd stick with dwarf mbuna or go to some of the Tanganyika fish. Demasoni, cyno's, and saulosi are popular dwarfs.

how many Africans are you looking to stock it with i have several larges one in a tank i would like to empty out, could get you a good deal one them if your looking to start with bigger ones
