My “Hoffa” cichlid is looking good now!

So, before you ask, a Hoffa is just a local fish stores “nickname” for this specific hybrid cichlid.

basically meaning Hoffa ( half of) this and Hoffa ( half of) that. Haha

this specific breed is 1/2 parachromis Dovii and 1/2 parachromis managuensis (Jaguar cichlid).

here is a quick video tonight and then a couple of still pics. The crazy thing was he was crazy shy up until 3 days ago. Not sure why his behavior changed, but I’m happy it did….

Very sleek, elongated look, like it a lot! Face looks very jag like but then the dovii colors… Im curious if it will stay jag sized or get dovii sized. Time will tell but sweet looking fish @lloyd378

My hybrid was looking good tonight ( minus the small scar on his face from trying to shove a large piece of wood out of the way….. it’s hard to see in this video, but he actually has some blues in his dorsal fin and tail.

Update: he is starting to aqua scape on his own now. Haha
