In this thread I will be posting updates on my Herichthys Carpinitis and friends

Tank: six foot 125gal
Filtration: two AC110S, Ehiem heater and air pump

Occupants
6x Herichthys Carpinitis "Escondido"
6xF 1xM Red Tuxedo Swordtails
1x Pink tailed Chalceus
1x Amatitlania Nanolutae

The blues are coming in nicely, how is the spangling/ spots looking on them ( in person )? The last carpinitas I bought had issues with the spots blending together making them almost appear to be the Thai silk flowerhorns ( minus the Nuchal humps)

So far no blending of the spots. I will keep an eye on that tho, thanks for the heads up.

I grew some Wetspot "Escondidos" out years ago (like 8-9 years ago) and they never looked like what the classic "Escondido" colors should be to me. I hope you have better luck or different stock.

The Carpinitis have gained enough size to be bumped to NLS Ultra Red pellets. 20210501_203051.jpg
Also one of my female Swordtails was actually a sword less male, because it's now growing back.
