Maracyn or Maracyn2?

I need pointing in the right direction. I have an internet friend who has a HM with a spreading case of finrot. She seems to have been doing her water changes
in a 2gl. rectangle without a filter. I should add no heater and the temp is to low and she is aware. I'm sending her a heater, IAL, Betta tank(1gl. for her 5yr. old) a pump, check valve, aquaium hose and a splitter plus airstones. Back to the finrot. Maracyn or Maracyn2 as they both can help finrot so they claim. Or even something else. Thanks!

Maracyn II is a gram positive med. It can be taken to treat finrot.

Before you or your friend treat a known sickness, make sure it's gram positive or negative.

Large water changes with reduced feedings, bump the temp. up.

it's a way for them to make money. Ya prot is right, one is for +, the other -.

Since mardel says it is safe and recommended to use both maracyn 1 and 2, they could easily make a combo pack with both medications in one packet.

If in doubt, buy both and dose both. OR go with a different company.

I read a couple things on it but really didn't seem to find anything definite. I guess they want to
keep you in the dark so you buy more!

Thanks for the assist you all! On a low budget so I'll toss a coin!
