Just picked up a new tank boss some my adolescent cichlids have a role model

Picked up Madness' adult zonatus today. He was one of shawns first fish . I feel very lucky and grateful to have the opportunity to own him. Here are a few pics of him after being in the tank for 30 minutes.
Plus the fighting in the tank has stopped!



The other fish are giving him room which is why you don't see them here.

Shawn measured him at just over 12". He's exactly what I needed. He brought an instant dominating presence to the tank while also not being a bully.

I call this technique "lead by example" haha and my youthful / naughty amphs and hemichromis are learning by example.

Its great when you have a dominate fish that can keep a tank under control without being a bully. It takes a special fish to do it. Looks you got a good one there.
