Hi Everyone,
I am from Illinois and have been keeping fish for a while. First started out keeping Cichlids and then in 2009 got addicted into keeping wild type livebearers (mostly Goodeids). I have found that I love livebearers more then cichlids. I am going to make a thread in the General Freshwater Fish folder on livebearers and also selling surplus of two species of Goodeid.

Are you a member of any clubs in the greater Chicago area? Its cichlid heaven over there!!!!

I live in Metamora (near Peoria) IL which is 2 - 2 1/2 hrs south. I am only a member of the ALA and NAGWG (North American Goodeid Working Group). I have been thinking about joining my local fish club in Peoria but otherwise I am not a member of any club. Yeah, it is cichlid heaven. However, Rick Borstein founder of the Chicago Livebearer Society is trying to change that and get more people interested in Livebearers :) . I do know Pleco-Pete. I met him once at Chicago Swap. I got some bartoni cichlids from him.
