I agree.
One thing that I am and have changed in my life is taking that extra step, saying that extra hello, giving that extra money to those that need it. It doesnt take much to say something nice, be polite in a message or text, say thank you, open a door, but for whatever reason, it doesnt happen much any more. And I am finding out that the more good I do/say the more it comes back. People just dont have time anymore. So they say.
I had my eyes opened by a man I never met a couple years ago. It was around this time, and I picked up some equipment from him (he is a member on here), we chatted a bit and I moved on. This man owed me nothing, and out of nowhere my boys and I received an amazing Christmas gesture and gift. At a time when things were not going well, and I was losing faith in everything, this just proved that there is still good out there, and this man now has a friend for life. And since that day I have striven to fix my way of thinking, and the way I believe. This year I donated as often as I could, and it feels great.
So to some up what some may think is babble, I finally learned that taking that little extra time to say/do a little extra, will definitely come through in the end. And if more people would do this, and not say "I just dont have the time, or why should I, or some other day", or even just ignore it, this Country would be a much happier place.
So many people are quick to complain, but dont have time for compliments/kind words. Why is this?
I hope everyone has a great New Years, and may 2013 bring you what you deserve.
