Tuesday November 12: Plant Auction! (At West Seattle!)

Join GSAS for our annual Big Plant (and Livestock) Auction on Tuesday November 12th. Preview and registration starts at 6:30ish, bidding at 7 PM sharp.

Last year we outgrew our previous location, so we're holding the plant auction at the West Seattle Christian Church, 4400 42nd Ave SW. The location is very easy to get to from the West Seattle Bridge.

What can you expect? Last year we had over 550 items including tons of plants; hand-grown by GSAS members, and purchased from the country's best commercial nursery. Member-spawned fish. Shrimp. Maybe an axolotyl or two. What you won't see are any dry goods, tanks or filters (come back in April for the general auction).

Anyone, member or not, may bid. GSAS members may sell up to 20 items (22 if you preregister them). Sellers, only three of the same item, please, and remember, plants and livestock only! See the auction guidelines on our website GSAS.org for further details.

Who all on here is coming to this?  If you do, you will certainly enjoy it.  There will be easy-peasy-to-grow-plants and hi-tech-plants.  Also fish, inverts, and live foods.  Just no non-living things at this auction.

Not only are the members that grow plants bringing their stock to auction off, the club is buying a load of plants from plant farms/importers to auction as well...!

Don't miss it!

Hey all you 'Boxers!!!!

Please, Please, Please...!  Don't forget about the GSAS Plant Auction this coming Tuesday! There will most likely be ''something for everyone''! From easy-peasy-low-tech-growing plants to exotic, rare and ''hi-tech-growing plants there for you to bid on.  This auction is growing every year!  It's in a great location with lot's of room inside.

And remember, if you're a GSAS member, you can enter your plants to auction off.  And everyone can bid on them!

Where can I get my grubby hands on these tags?
I make them, unfortunately, I usually make them for the Swap events, and I strongly urge everyone on here to utilize their custom name tags whenever there's an event. I can make you one, but it won't be until the next Swap Meet, which is on the 23rd, if I remember correctly. You'd also have to pick it up at the store, or I can mail it to you via SnailMail. Very Happy

You can post the template pic of the nametags too, and people can use it to make and print them if they know how

I've done that, (and there already is a blank one floating around here) but people just keep asking me to make them. So.....yeaaaah. :whistle

Ummm...I need a fishbox nametag...I can either use a template if someone will point me in the right direction and give me a pic of what the end product looks like (I have a laminator too) or someone (Angelo) could maybe make me one....let me know :)
