Failed Breeding

My angels keep trying but to no avail. I believe they are Mother and son though so I didn't expect anything. Cool to watch them parent though. I am hoping that the new male will pair up with the female as he matures.

Try placing slate in top 1/3 of aquarium also male angelfish wont fertilize the eggs if under any kind of stress..
ie: water parameters, Tank mates, Lighting, Etc.....
I breed angels for a couple years and once you have a fertile happy pair you the will breed about every three weeks, just like the prolific convict cichlid.. Good luck on next go around... :king:

Na, Oreo is fine. Actually the pair let him right in and chased everyone else off. It was pretty cool to see that. I don't know what kind of Angels they are. I rescued them from CL.


King, I did watch the male follow the female and play his roll but only a few eggs stay clear / look fertilized. Most of them turn white.
