DIY Surface Extractor;for your amusement . . . don't try this!! (LOL)

OK, so I love the DIY aspect of the hobby, but some things are best left to the experts!
It was fun to make but doesn't work worth a darn . . . I get an organic surface film build up after a week or so, I picked a commercial extractor up off the web which works great but tends to swallow small RCS and baby plecos which forces me to open my XP2 every other week to return the unharmed captives back into the tank.

thanks, the big hole I cut in the back is where the new surface extractor is mounted so that wasn't a complete waste :!:
